DETAILS OF OUR FORTHCOMING EVENTS 2009 JEDBURGH CASTLE JAIL, SCOTTISH BORDERS - SATURDAY 28TH MARCH 2009 (Photo Copyright of Charles Denoon 2003) The Grey Ladies team and a few other selected paranormal investigators will spend the night inside Jedburgh Castle Jail to conduct our own set of investigations and tests. No members of the public will be involved, as this is a private investigation and not a charity based event. The Castle Jail was one of the first overnight investigations carried out by the team shortly after they we were established back in 2005, so it will be interesting to go back.
PRIVATE HOME INVESTIGATION, SCOTTISH BORDERS, FRIDAY 7th MARCH 2008 The team investigated an old house in a Borders village. The spirit of a man of authority followed us around, apparently holding important papers (title deeds, perhaps?). His negative energy seemed to dominate an upstairs bedroom, which everyone felt when they entered the room. Impressive orb-like images were caught on film. The rest of our findings were discussed privately with the owners at the end of the vigils. KIELDER CASTLE, NORTHUMBERLAND, FRIDAY 21st MARCH 2008 By kind permission of The Forestry Commission, Kielder, The Grey Ladies returned to Kielder Castle (following our Halloween visit working with the public) to conduct our own investigation. Joining us were newbie paranormal investigators from Dumfries and Galloway, a small team called "Mostly Ghostly" and a friend of ours, Andy, who has an interest in the paranormal. Aside from the usual light anomolies and natural creaking sounds of the building, a fascinating event happened in the large attic room. We left a digital voice recorder running up there - the kind that only records if it picks up sound. On playback, there were long dragging sounds of what we all agreed was like a heavy sack across the floor boards. We tried to re-create the same sound later in the investigation, using one of the heavy sacks that was in the same room - and on playback of the voice recorder, captured an identical sound. Everyone was accounted for when the machine was left up in the attic the first time. It was a very windy night, but yet, during periods of time when the wind had died down, a particular window frame kept rattling when the other windows did not. We checked for tree branches hitting it, but nothing was there. We also heard like a small animal scratching a downstairs door trying to get in during a vigil, but when we opened it, there was nothing there. We closed the door again and the scratching started once more. There were also icy blasts felt across the room we used as a base, when no doors downstairs were being opened or anyone was walking around. Voices were also heard coming up one of the main staircases - we though it was the other team, but they hadn't yet arrived! An interesting night indeed. And we're back for more on Friday 2nd May..... KIELDER CASTLE, NORTHUMBERLAND, FRIDAY 2nd MAY 2008 The Forestry Commission invited us back to carry out a further investigation. The evening was very calm - very little breeze and a lot milder than when we were there in March. The evening, however, produced very little activity. There were some bangs, thuds and rustles at various points during the night, but the spirits were mostly keeping themselves to themselves, despite our best efforts to persuade them to come forward! We will be returning again at some point during the summer for another go!
